This week has been a really tough week. I have really struggled to find the balance back again. I feel really burnt out between Teaching and studying and I am definitely ready for a holiday. I have been focusing on trying to get out of the burnout and It has sparked some serious ideas for my project. What happens to a designer when he’s lost his creative spirit? Do we just seize to exist? It is a wild and crazy thought that we can loose that one thing that makes us designers. I was thinking about this in terms of the teacher aspect. Can a teacher loose their ability to teach? How does that look? For me lately, teaching has become one big performance and I have been putting on one hell of a show.
I don’t have all the answers to these questions. But these have been my thoughts this week. Welcome to my brain,
DAVID CARSON

Carson’s typographical designs are wonders of beauty and I am in awe of his ability to play with type and make it into a section of imagery within his design work. Type speaks a thousand words and within these designs, it is important to remember that type doesn’t have to become legible in order to be visible and convey a message.
