GDE730 – Week 5

This week, not much progress has been made with this assignment. I have been in recovery from surgery, so trying to do things for long periods of time has been extremely difficult for me, especially looking at screens – the headaches have been killer. I have managed to look at one section of the research task this week, but that is about it. I did try looking at sketching out some lore logo designs too for LSJ

Research task – How graphic designers collaborate

Paired design – One person designs, the other directs

Mob design – One person designs, the team directs

Open Channel – this technique is for designers that aren’t in the same room and remote work. The idea is sending ideas between yourselves to stay on track with projects.

Open channel chat – Remote working chat channels for sharing work within a group. It is more used for gaining feedback from peers.

Designer ping pong – sending design files between designers – helps get design work done in hours instead of days

Inspiration sharing/ demos – Used for sharing inspiration between designers to help fuel a project
